It's been a while since I wrote on this blog. The last time was October 14th 2018. The reasons for this are several but I think the main reason was that the writing on the blog was taking away too much time from other hobbies/interests, including music (which is an interest/hobby I've returned to and want to focus on). It's possible that I will write on the blog once again but much less frequently (I can't let it overtake my other interests/hobbies). Regardless, the walks I've went on during 2019 are summarised in this post.
In 2019 I made the big decision to move to Poland. Why Poland? The main reason is because I'm Polish and wanted to live in my own country rather than in Sweden. I moved on March 30th 2019 and it took until April 1st before I found an apartment to rent. My first long-distance walk in Poland took place on May 1st (later than I expected). But before I go into detail about that I will go through my general walking goals in Poland and beyond and the walking goals I had for 2019.
My main goal when it comes to walks in Poland is to walk the entirety of all the European long-distance paths through Poland. This is a total of five trails or sub-trails: The eastern part of trail E3 through Poland (249km), the western part of trail E3 through Poland (301km), trail E8 through Poland (172km), trail E11 through Poland (1246km) and trail E9 through Poland (706.1km). This is a total of over 2674km. It's quite a lot but it's very doable under the right circumstances. I will go into more details about the trails when introducing the trails (I will introduce the eastern part of trail E3 through Poland in the next post). For 2019 the general goal was to finish the eastern part of trail E3 through Poland
and was on the eastern part of European long-distance trail E3 through Poland, between Rytro and Krynica-Zdrój. I eventually finished the eastern part of European long-distance trail.
