The character of the walk was quite similar to Hallandsleden walk #5 between Axtorp and Veddige, although with less walking through the woods and with more height variations (thus making it more demanding). It was a nice walk, although it had rained during the night so much of the trail was wet and I got my shoes wet. On the other hand the after-rain atmosphere made things more beautiful. Enjoy the photos!

Inside of one of the small water-mills (skvaltkvarnar in Swedish) in Kvarnadalen. There are 7 small water-mills in a passably good shape remaining in Kvarnadalen. "Skvaltan" was a simple mill with a cumbent paddle wheel and could be found near small streams. The water was embanked above and when it was time to mill, the farmers went to their own mill. Then the water was released and usually each of the farmers could mill to fill up five 100kg bags before the water dried up.

Here's a view from outside. Used the curves tool in GIMP to slightly reduce the brightness and reduce the effect of the blue channel.

The trail went through this overgrown part. Because the plants had raindrops on them I managed to get not only my shoes wet but also my pants. Equalized the histogram.

Equalized the histogram and then slightly adjusted the curves (I reduced the effect of the blue channel especially).

View of the landscape from a hill shortly after Grimmared. Rotated the image slighttly and then cropped it. Also increased the brightness a bit by adjusting the levels curve and increased contrast slightly.
